2000 - Week 9
Here's the facts on this (sigh) loss...
- This is only the second time Alabama has been 3-6. The other year? You guessed it - 1984. I wish I wasn't having to mention 1984 and 1990 so much.
- When both teams combine for 58 points, the Tide is 6-5. Bama is 23-5 when scoring 28 in a game, but only 1-7 when allowing 30.
- Bama's record against LSU drops to 42-17-5, and 21-6-2 in Baton Rouge against them. The Tide is 22-6-1 in Baton Rouge overall (it played Tulane there in 1904).
- This is the 13th time Alabama has lost by two points in a game, and the second straight that we've lost by two. The last time Bama lost two consecutive games by the same amount was in 1985 to Penn State and Tennessee...both by two points.
- Bama is now 12-3-1 on November 4.
