the God of the ocean

2001

Looking out at Your creation
I feel Your presence next to me
The glory of the Lord most high
Is in the night sky and the sea.

Waves crashing in toward the shore,
The darkness pierced by points of light,
All lend in splendor to this scene
On this February night.

The grains of sand, the stars above
Have all been crafted by Your hand.
Then I'm reminded of Your Son
And how He fell so I could stand.

And as I walk along the shore
I'm thinking of the love You gave:
I know the God of the ocean
Loves me with love beyond the grave.
