Watch out Microsoft, Pepsi, and the people that make the Teletubbies. Your reign as the most evil companies in America may be numbered.
I'm talking, of course, about Bagby Elevators.
Few people but Brandon can fully understand this, but it's true. They handle the elevators for Rose Towers and I'm told the rest of the University. At any rate, they break ALL THE TIME. Normal places with elevators (malls, hospitals, and office buildings) don't have huge problems with their elevators breaking on a weekly basis, or have 2 of the 3 broken at the same time more than a few times during a year. But at Rose Towers, having all 3 elevators working at the same time seemed to be the exception. And even when they were, they always made scary noises and would occasionally skip floors and other random fun. I'm sorry, but I expect better from something I and others had to trust our lives to several times a day.
So I've never really liked Bagby...I think any decent company could keep the elevators working more regularly, and when they do break, fix them more quickly.
These feelings have all been magnified now. I've escaped Rose Towers, but I'm working at a building called Independence Plaza in Homewood. A very nice building with a great view. (yes, I know that's a sentence fragment, but deal with it) The elevators, however, leave MUCH to be desired. They shake the whole time you're moving, make scary noises, and take forever. I just noticed today...guess who does the elevators there?
You guessed it.
