School's out! School's out! Anyhow, in honor of this glorious day of the beginning of my summer, I decided to post a few ramble-like things I found in my poetry notebook as I was cleaning up stuff. They're pretty old, but I think they're still groovy..

2-11-95Poems are like a box of chocolates... they melt and get all gooey if
you leave them in a parked car when the sun's out and it makes the
greenhouse effect heat up the air inside that's trapped inside your
car and it could maybe even crack your dashboard, so if you're going
to write, leave the windows rolled down.----

I think I'll take over the world some day. Like I have anything
better to do. Then again, it's not something you just up and decide
to do one morning. It would have to be carefully planned and thought
out for a few minutes. Whole nations would bow before me. I'd be
ruler of all. They'd even let me be quarterback for the Cowboys.
They'd intercept the snot out of me, but hey, I'm their ruler. I
could have Deion Sanders hung.----

The pen is mightier than the sword, but only if it's one of those
cool kind like James Bond had that could shoot out little thingies
and kill people when it would take them by surprise when they really
just wanted to write him a check for a lot of money and if he hadn't
killed him maybe he would have gotten the money and then he could buy
even kewler pens that would like get him chicks and stuff. That'd be
neat.----
???Mustard is truly a wonder of mankind. In the world of condiments,
it's gotta be like the Thirteenth Wonder or something. It gives us so
much and asks so little in return. So just shut up and love it back,
okay?----

If I could marry anyone in the whole world, I'd marry Little Debbie.
I don't care how little she actually is; it's not like I'd have to
worry about talking to her or anything. I'd be eating the whole
time...
