What I Thought In August 2003

« July 2003 | Main | September 2003 »

(08-30) I think that every once in a while, there's no sweeter music to the ears than drunken shouts of "Roll Tide!" followed by about 80,000 people cheering to the fight song.

(08-28) I think it just might be time for Duran Duran to hang it up.

(08-28) I think if I don't stop getting Hilary Duff songs stuck in my head, I'm going to start using a screwdriver instead of a Q-tip.

(08-28) I think if I don't stop getting Hilary Duff songs stuck in my head, I'm going to start using a screwdriver instead of a Q-tip.

(08-22) I think I can't believe that Piggly Wiggly actually has a Mr. Pig soft drink. Clearly, I would have gone with Dr. Pig, but whatever...

(08-22) I think everyone should know that at Piggly Wiggly, a 1-liter bottle of Canada Dry ginger ale is $1.39. And so is the 2-liter bottle.

(08-19) I think I know how pig wrestlers at the rodeo feel, for we gave the puppy her first bath last night.

(08-18) I just ran some reports in Microsoft Money, and found out that over the past 12 months, we've only spent $50 more at Bruno's than at Lowe's. That's just scary. And it's also weird that Wal-Mart is a distant third...some things sure have changed since college.

(08-18) I think there may be no worse fate than getting that song from the Fanta commercial stuck in your head.

(08-18) I think the Perfect Pancake works pretty well, although I'm fairly certain I'll never actually achieve a perfect pancake as long as I'm cheating and using a mix.

(08-16) I think Michael Irvin as an ESPN NFL analyst just might rank a 100 on the unintentional comedy scale.

(08-15) I think I want to know why our power grid is tied into Canada's...that's not supposed to happen until after the war when we're occupying the country...

(08-14) I think I don't like it when people at work break my rule about talking to me before 9 AM.

(08-11) I think I'd like to confirm the rumors and officially announce that I am in the running to be the next governor of California.

(08-06) I think everyone should check out our puppy's new website right here!

(08-06) I think if anyone has any questions about whether or not this gay bishop thing is bad, check out this quote from the man himself: "Just simply saying it departs from tradition and Scripture does not necessarily make it wrong," . I will agree with him about the tradition part, but when you're now saying that it's okay to depart from scripture, you're pretty much throwing out the basis of the Christian faith.

(08-04) I think everyone should see our new puppy Angel...loads of pictures will be coming soon on a separate page, but until then, see one here!

(08-03) I think that Gate C4 at an airport is not a good name for a gate.

(08-02) I think way too much time and energy has been spent designing hotel hangers that you can't steal.

(08-02) I think every car dealership in Oklahoma City has a large inflated animal on their lot...and believe me, there are a lot of car dealerships out here.

(08-02) I think I ate at a Chinese place that had a sign saying that drink refills were [cent sign] .25...I almost handed them a penny and demanded my four refills, but decided it wasn't worth it and gave them the quarter they wanted.

(08-02) I think everyone should know that as of Friday morning at 12:00 PM, I had the high score on Galaga at the Bally arcade at Crossroads Mall in Oklahoma City. I also think that my wrists are not what they used to be...a few years of not playing any arcade video games has left them not able to take much game playing.

(08-02) I think Oklahoma City is really flat, and not nearly as big as I had pictured.
