Brandon and I just realized what's wrong with the world.
Well, okay, I suppose it can't be blamed for EVERYTHING, but it's a start.
It's Wednesday night. It's 7:00. A great time to watch Dharma & Greg or whatever other good shows happen to come on now. But they're not on.
Why?
Because President Clinton is giving an address about the bombing over in wherever we happen to be bombing now. I don't want to trivialize what's going on, and I think that it should be covered and the address should be broadcast.
But we just went through and counted, and the address is being broadcast live on NINE DIFFERENT STATIONS! And that's just the ones that we get here in Tuscaloosa! We get somewhere around 45 stations here, and right now 1/5 of those are showing the same thing.
I'm no programming executive, but wouldn't it be smart for somebody to try broadcasting something else for those of us who don't want to listen to him ramble? Talk about overkill...it's completely ridiculous. If I wanted to hear the news, I'd be watching CNN. If I wanted to be entertained, which I do, I'd watch ABC. OH WAIT, THEY'RE SHOWING THE SAME THING AS CNN.
Arg. Sometimes I hate this country.
