What I Thought In November 2001

« October 2001 | Main | December 2001 »

(11-30) I think someone somewhere in this world has like 5 billion pens hidden away. People are constantly losing pens, or loaning them to someone who doesn't return them. I noticed this all through school, and it's the same here in the business world. Those pens have to end up SOMEWHERE.... maybe the pen-making industry winds up with them, and they just resell them, creating a lucrative cycle.

(11-30) I think everyone should know that I'm now broadcasting live from the Opryland Hotel in Nashville!

(11-30) I think it's probably pretty sad that I'm so impatient with the printer at work that I often pull on the paper as it's coming out, as if that makes it hurry up or something. And this is a laser printer, which is tons faster than the dot matrix printers I grew up on.

(11-29) I think I need to start getting more business junk mail at work so I look important.

(11-29) I think the dumbest programming mistake I've ever made was about a year ago. To get the number of the previous month, I made my program just subtract 1 from the current month. Gee, I wonder whose program crashed the first time it ran in January?

(11-28) I think our guinea pig thinks she's a ninja. She does this flying backwards kick thing.

(11-28) I think if I were still single, Michael's would be a great place to meet lonely women with too much time on their hands.

(11-28) I think if I were still single, David's Bridal would be a great place to meet women. It's right down the street from my apartment, and a lot of bitter, jealous bridesmaids are always there.

(11-26) I think whenever people call me with problems at work, I'm going to pretend I don't speak English. Let's see how long I can keep it going.

(11-25) I think when I get a little older, I'm going to pretend that I'm losing my hearing. Then I can get away with ignoring Tammy when she calls me from downstairs because she can't open a jar or she thinks she sees a bug.

(11-21) I think that when I oversleep by 35 minutes but still take a shower and get to work 10 minutes early, it says something about my normal morning routine. And the traffic the day before Thanksgiving.

(11-21) I think too many hours of my life in school were wasted doing busy work and word searches.

(11-21) I think our guinea pig will never suffer from lack of attention.

(11-21) I think the coolest job in the world is that of the people who test the software at EA Sports.

(11-19) I think Tammy looks pretty cute in a Krispy Kreme hat.

(11-16) I think once Tammy and Brandon both have jobs, I won't know what to do...I won't have anything to worry about anymore!

(11-16) I think throughout my life, my biggest advantage in sports has been the fact that I look like I'd be terrible, when in fact I'm only bad. People leave me open or don't guard me very close, and it usually comes back to haunt them.

(11-15) I think amazon.com is the best thing to happen to shopping since the credit card.

(11-14) I think in the perspective of all that's going on in the world, the Iron Bowl seems way more important than it should.

(11-14) I think it's amazing how long people can keep jobs that they have no idea how to do.

(11-13) I think most people in college don't know how good they have it. I sure didn't...

(11-12) I think we need a few amendments to the laws of physics. Think of how much fun that could be!

(11-12) I think the printer at work is set to only run out of paper when I'm printing.

(11-09) I find it hard to believe that almost 17 million people watch JAG, and I've never met one of them.

(11-09) I think if Brandon and I spent as much time solving the world's problems as we do playing and talking about Red Alert (a computer game), we'd have a few of them solved.

(11-07) I think there's nothing fun about the "fun size" candy bars you get at Halloween.

(11-05) I think I am an official sponsor of "Syntax Error Mondays".

(11-02) I think they based Chandler on Friends after me. I want some money for the use of my life!

(11-02) I think I will never get DirecTV or any satellite dish, because the only channels I need are Fox (Sunday night comedies, That 70s Show), NBC (Friends), ABC (Drew Carey), WB (Angel), UPN (Buffy), and the ESPN family. And I guess throw in CBS just during football season. Wow, I just realized I watch more shows on Fox than anywhere else. Scary.

(11-01) I think NBC will soon find out that people don't want to match Michael Jordan play on a bad team.
