What I Thought In September 2002

« August 2002 | Main | October 2002 »

(09-30) I think I'm a little concerned about the teenagers in my area of town. There has GOT to be something better to do than stand around outside Arby's...

(09-30) I think the best thing about buying a new house is that when I play sports video games against someone else, or even the computer, I can say things like "This is MY house!" or "Not in my house!" on good defensive plays, and it will actually be true for the first time in my life.

(09-27) I think I haven't complained about how much I hate the Wal-Mart in Homewood in a few months, so just for the record, I hate the Wal-Mart in Homewood.

(09-24) I think I had forgotten how boring business trips are. Alpharetta, GA just isn't the most happening place in the world.

(09-24) I think Randy Moss is an idiot.

(09-22) I think whenever I have to actually go inside the gas station to get my receipt, the gas should be free. I'm not suggesting this, I'm demanding it. Write letters. Email your Congressman. Legistlation should be introduced. Regulations should be passed. Maybe I'm just nieve to think that "pay at the pump" should also include "get your receipt at the pump", but I'm sick and tired of the receipt printers at the pump running out of paper. I'm about to boycott the Shell station next to my apartment for this very reason...it's happened the last two times I've been there.

(09-22) I think everyone can see a picture of our new house right here. Obviously, it's not finished yet. :)

(09-21) I think it wasn't pretty, but at least it's a W.

(09-19) I think I wish I had been in the brainstorming meeting for the advertising agency that came up with the idea of using Emmitt Smith and Alf to sell long distance services. I mean, if the star running back for several terrible Cowboys teams the last few years and the star puppet of a mildly successful sitcom that was cancelled 12 years ago can't sell your product, who can? AT&T should counter with Webster and Barry Sanders.

(09-19) I think it'd be pretty scary if you were at the dentist, and your hygienist was all upset because she "lost a patient in the chair this morning".

(09-17) I think I have officially lost what little respect for and faith in the administration of the NCAA that I might have had.

(09-16) I think everyone should know that we did in fact sign a contract on a house tonight. Our tentative closing date is November 15!

(09-16) I think we're probably signing a contract for a house tonight!

(09-13) I think it drives me crazy that Tammy's car doesn't have keyless entry. I don't think I could do without it on my car. How in the world did people get by for 90 years with cars that didn't have it? I can't believe it took that long to come out...why did they waste their time developing things like power steering, anti-lock brakes, and air-bags, when they should have been concentrating on keyless entry? I demand answers! And speaking of which, why hasn't keyless entry on houses caught on yet (other than garage doors, of course). I know the technology exists, but I've never actually seen a house or apartment with it.

(09-12) I think every boy's childhood dream should be to get into the lint roller business.

(09-10) I think those commercials where the guy on the Pringles can sings are just plain creepy.

(09-09) I think everyone in the world needs to know a few things that I just learned.

(09-09) I think the SEC has not fared well this year in non-conference games against real teams.

(09-09) I think it's Monday morning, and Hershel Bolden is still getting beat on deep routes, at least in my head.

(09-08) I think I don't know how to feel about the game yesterday. On the good side, we outplayed the (supposedly) #3 team in the nation for all but a few minutes of the game. On the down side, of course, we lost a game that we should have won. At any rate, I think North Texas might be in for a hurtin'....

(09-03) I think if we find a house we like, we should get top priority over everyone else who wants it. You know, just because...

(09-02) I think everyone should know that Tammy played Playstation with me tonight, and she had two rushing touchdowns, including a beautiful 80 yard run up the right sideline!
